Country Road: Performance Through Health & Wellbeing
Progressive organisations are dialling up their health & wellbeing programs. Increased competition, open channel social media and a need to engage and retain talent are key factors driving this change. Country Road Group’s National Health & Wellbeing Leader, Marc Tims, argues that Health & Wellbeing is not just a branding exercise.
“A well rounded approach to health offers benefits which can be tracked how a business performs. It is a great way to attract and retain talent and reduce absenteeism, but aside from those measurements, we see improvements in culture, sales and customer experience"
Country Road Group’s Health & Wellbeing strategy is broad, offering support for physical and mental health as well as financial, social and emotional wellbeing initiatives. Key to this strategy is how the H&W strategy is tailored for different parts of the organisation.
“It doesn’t have to be expensive or complex. We have introduced a simple morning stretch program within our Distribution Centres to not only boost morale and promote an active workplace, but also to reduce the risk of injury for our team.”
